We had a neighborhood garage sale
to raise funds for the missing. Towards the end of the day a
woman came up to me to buy something. I told her why we were
having the sale. She looked at the poster, got chills and told
me her story. Her daughter ran away and she was frantic and she
called NMCO and Team Hope. She said that she would not have made
it without their help. She said that she called and left a message
saying that if someone did not call her soon that she did not
know what she would do. She believes that Vicki may have been
her volunteer. Her daughter was found because of the flyers and
her daughter had been held at gun point in a hotel room....so
not a runaway afterall. She is the reason we are doing this.
It did my heart good to see her get chills and her grateful heart.
This team of hope is onto something.
Thanks for all you do for
ALL!
A Team HOPE volunteer

Vicki I would just like to thank
you very much for getting me through this trial in our lives. …..
we are very lucky that things worked out for the best so
far. Thank you again for the help that you give to others
and know
that you touched my heart.

Over Thanksgiving weekend 2001, my
son was abducted by his non-custodial father and so began my journey
as a “Left-Behind” parent.
A journey that took me down many roads.
The road named “Team HOPE”
was probably the most beneficial and
Eye-opening road I traveled.
I made my first contact with my volunteer,
Abby Potash, in January, 2002. She immediately knew what I was
going through and could tell me how I was feeling! Abby made me
understand that what I was experiencing was what every other “Left
Behind” parent goes through and “normal”.
She gave me so much direction as far
as who to talk to, and what the next step should be in my search
for Scott. I would not have been able to accomplish what I did
and make the contacts I did without her help.
What I believe sets T.E.A.M. Hope volunteers
apart from other missing child organizations, is the fact that
all the volunteers have been there. They have been “Left-Behind”
parents, grandparents, etc. and can relate to your frustrations
and emotions as you go down those roads.
As the mother of a recovered child,
I have so much Gratitude for T.E.A.M. Hope and what they do.

Thank you very much for having Mr. Tom Sylvester
contact me today at work to help me out with the battle that I
have been waging to get back my two children from Egypt where
they currently reside with their mother who had abducted them
from our home over 4 years ago.
Mr. Sylvester has provided me a great deal of information,
and he is very knowledgeable about the process in the battle as
a left behind parent, and the resources he knows are countless.
May god always bless him. Tom has helped me out a great deal today…..in
the one hour we spoke today over the telephone. Again, thank you
for having Mr. Tom Sylvester contact me today, and helping me
out in my battle. Tom is a great resource.
